Intercultural centrum Podium Mozaïek
Podium Mozaïek is housed in the former Pniël church. A major renovation has resulted in a new restaurant and a new foyer. The entire layout has been revised. The mosaic of this monument has merged with the mosaic of programming and with the residents of the Amsterdam Bos en Lommer area. The etched glass from the old church is perfectly placed in the entrance. There is openness, more seating areas have been created, there are cozy corners, each with its own atmosphere. Various artists and designers have been inspired by the mosaic concept. Dining, meeting during the day as well as coming together at the beginning or end of a performance now seamlessly blend together. Various artists and designers have embraced the mosaic concept. The tiles for the bar were handcrafted and glazed in Morocco. It covers the entire nave, upon which the theater floor on the floor above rests. An impressive eye-catcher in enchanting ultramarine blue, fitting into the color palette and complementing the original blue of the building. Designer and local resident Petra Vonk designed the covering of the acoustic panels. Multicultural patterns have also been used here as a basis, printed in shades of blue.
