Petra Vonk designed innovative lace knit window coverings. These designs  are meant to create an interesting and fresh look for the huge show windows. During the day this blocks the viewer outside from looking inside and filters the view from the inside on the busy street while giving the public the opportunity to enjoy design. 2008-2009 Commissioned by AFK for several private residences.

In two different places in the beautiful old monastery on the canal in Utrecht, the view into the halls was too great. Especially to solve this problem, Petra Vonk applied Elastic Lace knit. An ingenious and very fine-meshed elastic lace knit. The experiment to seek the utmost capabilities of a computer-controlled knitting machine started in the Textile Museum Tilburg.
