Cadence acoustic partition

Transparency is an essential principle in the textile designs of Studio Petra Vonk. Cadence is an acoustic room divider in which this principle comes to life through a fascinating play of closed surfaces and subtle views. This visual contrast creates a layered structure in which two surfaces seem to float in a surprising way. The interaction between these layers creates a dynamic spatial effect that continues to surprise from every viewing angle.

The elements are connected by sturdy bamboo sticks, which not only contribute to the desired depth effect, but also give the design a natural robustness and stability. Thanks to the modular system, the segments effortlessly interlock, resulting in flowing colour transitions. By combining felt layers in different shades, a surprising play of colours is created, which together with the play of light and shadow creates a lively, aesthetic field of tension.

Cadence is available in 3 mm and 5 mm wool felt, made from 100% natural materials. In addition, there is a circular version available, made of needle felt from I-did, produced from upcycled clothing. This makes Cadence not only a visual statement, but also a sustainable design in which the story of natural materials and reuse is central. A perfect balance between functionality, aesthetics and sustainability.
