Lace knit patterns transformed into prints.
Lace knit is not always suitable for every interior. For application in hospitality it is sometimes better to translate the pattern into a print. By using digital print technology, a beautiful materialization can be displayed on a curtain, cushion or wall panel. The tactile feel of the knitted material is preserved in this way, but the fabric is not so fragile.
PODIUM MOZAIEK. The renovation of the monumental Pniel church, designed by Rian Knop has resulted in an eclectic mix of patterns. Studio Petra Vonk had the opportunity to design cover for the ugly but very neccecary akoestic pannels on the ceiling.

MODEZ HOTEL. Dutch fashion capitol ARNHEM opened his Fashion hotel: MODEZ. StudioPetraVonk designed one of the craftsmanship rooms; the LACE room.

Petra Vonk designed Linnovativeace knit window coverings. These designs are meant to create an interesting and fresh look for the huge show windows, while giving the public the opportunity to enjoy design. During the day this blocks the viewer outside from looking inside and filters the view from the inside on the busy street. 2008-2009 Commissioned for several private residences.
In two different places in the beautiful old monastery on the canal in Utrecht, the view into the halls was too great. Especially to solve this problem, Petra Vonk applied Elastic Lace knit. An ingenious and very fine-meshed elastic lace knit. The experiment to seek the utmost capabilities of a computer-controlled knitting machine started in the Textile Museum Tilburg.
